Sony Pictures Is Close to Takeover of 2wayTraffic, FT Reports

By Lenka Ponikelska

March 13 (Bloomberg) -- Sony Pictures Television International, which produces game shows like ``Jeopardy'' and ``Wheel of Fortune,'' is close to acquiring the Dutch group 2wayTraffic NV, the Financial Times reported, without saying where it got its information.

The Dutch company owns the ``Who Wants to Be a Millionaire'' format; the takeover bid is expected to be higher than the closing price on London's AIM exchange yesterday, which valued 2wayTraffic at 140 million pounds ($283 million), the newspaper said.

Both companies declined to comment, the FT said.
