Sony launches blur-free LCD TVs

SONY has unveiled its latest addition to the Bravia range of Full HD LCD TVs, the Z450A series.

Available in 52in, 46in and 40in sizes, the Z450A is the world’s first LCD TV featuring Motionflow 200Hz which captures all the detail of fast-moving action scenes and makes them ultra smooth.

Using advanced algorithms, the Motionflow system calculates three additional frames for every original, increasing the frame rate from 50fps (frames per second) to 200fps.

At the heart of the Z450A is the improved Bravia Engine 2, a signal processor that reproduces realistic black, depicting objects with lifelike depth and detail, and removes blemishes or noise from the picture,.

Coupled with the Advanced Contrast Enhancer, the Z450A is supposed to produce, crisp, noise-free images.

Also, the Z450A features S-Force Front Surround system that delivers a wider listening area for realistic virtual surround sound.

And the Voice Zoom function maintains the level of ambient surround sound to maximise audio clarity to enhance the overall experience.

Plus, the Z450A offers hassle free connectivity to a wide range of Sony home entertainment devices via one remote control, allowing users to easily switch from viewing their Blu-ray movies to viewing photos on their Cyber-shot cameras.

It also has a Digital Media Port (DMP) for managing music and videos from portable devices such as Sony MP3 players and Bluetooth-enabled Sony Ericsson mobile phones.

The Z450A series is expected to be available next month. Sony has yet to announce the official price.
